I need to move 1000 photos from one library to another. How do I do that and keep the ratings and dates they were created? I tried exporting them, but it loses all info. Also, how do I move the quicktime movies from one iphoto library to another? They were exported as jpgs

Use iPhoto Library Managerthat's pretty much the easiest way. It will maintain all the metadata and version history too. No other method will get all the metadata and the version history. It will move movies too.
To export a movie: File -> Export and set the Kind to Original

I have iphoto library manager. How do I transfer them. I dont see an option on the desktop
If i drag the photos from iphoto library to the library name I want them in in iphoto library manager, I get an error message saying...the library *Null* does not have an albumdata.xml file. Please open the library and let iphoto create a new album data.xml firle for it ten try the copy again...WHatt??
Add both libraries to iPhoto Library Manager. Then select the events or albums that you want to copy from library A and drag them to library B in iPLM.

I just used iphoto library manager to merge to libraries. The movies did not transfer. Does this mean with all 50 of them I have to individually export each as an original and then import into the other library?

You could try creating a smart album in the one library with the movies and then use iPLM to copy that album to the other library. If it doesn't work you'll have to export out of that smart album using the option Format = Original to a folder on the Desktop. Then import the folder into the new library.
When I try to do the simple transfer of even one photo from one libary to antother I get the following error message..
For best help contact the makers oiPhoto Library Manager but the message does seem to be clear - the destination folder doesn't exist.
As a general rule it's also helpful if you include the step by step you took to get the error message.
IPLM has yet to reply. Basically I did as you describe in your video. I chose libary A (Default) so it has a black dot in circle, then I clicked on library B, found album to copy, dragged it to the black dotted library A and dropped it. It starts going thru the steps (Opening Library b etc..but then ends with same message about destination not existing.
