Need some help with Safari

Hey guys, when I click on text and choose "search with google" it opens it up in the same page and not a new tab. How do I get the search with google feature to open in a new tab on safari. I can care lesss they took the google bar away because I can search just as good putting it in the address bar. It's the same as a search bar.

Any suggestions for the tabs part?

I am very suprised Apple didn't do this.

I sometimes wonder if I should switch back to FireFox, I just got this macbook Pro what do you guys think?
