Hi Christ, took the battery out and had to restore my phone

This caused me to loose the wifi again.

Tried all the above again and had no luck.

Heard a lot of people have got the same problem.

Is it a phone or firmware problem.

    Thanks Wayne

Taking the battery out of your iPhone, in addition to possibly doing damage if you don't know what you're doing, voided your warranty. At this point, it's going to be hard to tell whether the problem is software or something that happened when the battery was removed.

What in the world prompted you to remove the battery from the phone? You said the support document that I provided fixed your problem. Like Meg said, now it is going to be difficult to determine where your problem came from. However, to start out with, I suggest doing a restore of the iPhone. You can try first from a backup, and if you still have a problem then restore as a new device. If that doesn't help, you have yourself a quandry. Since you have opened the device and voided your warranty, the only alternative you have is an OOW replacement if you cannot get it going. For the iPhone 4, that cost is $149.
