10.8 / Mail only received for virtual domains & their aliases

Hi, I just upgraded from SL to ML and got mostly all up & running, but a single important thing is not working: Receiving mail for my main domain, not using the shortname.

So, I can receive mails for these addresses:

bob@domain-a.com

bob.cold@domain-b.com (alias)

but not for:

bob.cold@domain-a.com

even that's the email address entered in server.app for the user having shortcut name bob.

When sending to this address from Google, I even don't get an error message. The mail just vanishes and is not delivered to my mail application. Not sure if it's stored on the server somewhere.

In WGM I can see, the aliases as additional shortnames and the normal main email address in the info tab under E-Mail.

I can't find any hint in any of the logs.

Does anyone has an idea, why Email isn't received for the specified email address?

Ok, so I found the cause.

Somehow an alias for bob.cold@domain-a.com was added to the local admin user account. I don't have an idea how this happend but might be a quirk in the update procedure.

Hope others will not loose valuable life-time to find this out.

I found this by raising the postfix logging level to a meaningful level since the default level is really to low for a mail-server.
