my wifi keeps asking for password every time i try to reconnect when i get disconnected. what can i do to fix that. it already happened before and it's reccuring now.
Have you ever been able to successfully remain connected to this wifi? Do any other devices connect and stay connected to this wifi? Have you checked to see if there is a firmware update for your router? The last step would be to restore your iPhone, first from a backup and if that doesn't work, then as a new device, or not from a backup. Settings, General, Reset, Reset Network Settings. That will remove network settings and passwords for other networks as well, but should take care of this issue.
Yeah right after i i reset the network settings i tries to connect to my wifi and yes it askes again for password and i was able to connect. And after that i turned my wifi off and turned it back on and it did not automatically reconnected to the wifi and i had to connect again and it was still asking for password
yes, it just happened when i reset my network settings this morning because my network provider is having problems and i hoped that by doing reseting the network settings will fix the problem but instead, it brought up another problem which is the wifi keeps for asking password and randomly disconnects from the wifi
Did you try everything else from the support document you came here from http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1398? If that doesn't fix it, then I suggest the restore as I mentioned before.
I did what you said. And to test if it has fixed the problem i turned off the wifi and turned it back on then connected to my wifi and it asked for the password again.
Alright, so wifi connected and then you turned it off and it would not reconnect? When you reset the settings like I said, it erased all passwords and you would have to enter it at least once.
Try resetting your router.
