Uploading spreadsheets to ipad

'Ive downloaded "Documents 5.5" from the App Store. How do I upload spreadsheets from my computer to my iPad? Tried clicking on spreadsheet and "send to ipad" but it doesn't work.

iPad, Windows XP

Have you tried using File Sharing in iTune to copy files over?

Are you sure Document 5.5 can open spreadsheet?
