I recently bought a JBL ON BEAT music dock. My iPad 2 works perfectly but I am unable to listen Music from my IPhone4. It says : "accessory not supported". The phone gets charged though. Any solutions ??

I recently purchased a JBL ON BEAT music dock for my ipad2 and iPhone 4. Both the iPad and iPhone gets charged but I can listen to music on the dock only with my iPad and not the iPhone. Whenever I dock the iPhone there is a error message displayed :" This accessory is not supported ". Both the iPad and the iPhone have the latest IOS. Can anyone offer a solution ??
