I just got a new sensor and running on the treadmill and my work out pauses every few seconds. My ipod is on the the treadmill so no that it has not been touched.

If the sensor is still fairly new, see if you can have it exchanged for a new one as the current one may be faulty.

this is the second sensor I had one that was working well and then it stopped pacing intermittently and so thought the battery dead so got another one and it didn't work as if stopped pacing in the middle of runs so this one now pauses the workout. Starting to think it's the ipod. I reset the ipod twice and now have rest and erased everything now to see if it works. Ran for years without technology and now I'm adicted to watching my pace and distance.
