How do I get my picture to show in my games without having a Facebook?

So my boyfriend doesn't have a Facebook but he plays words with friends and Facebook, and other games that go through gamecenter. But even when he puts his picture in Game Center it doesn't show up in his games. Is there a way that his photo can show up in games connected through Game Center or just games in general?
