Messages frequently being sent incomplete

Hi,

Using Messages.app, I've been told that a lot of the messages I send are being cut off. Usually only the last two or three words at most, but it's a little annoying that they're being cut off. Is this a bug that Apple is aware of, and can I expect a fix at some point?

Hi,

I have not heard of this but would be interested to know the character and word counts involved.

I have never sent a particularly long iMessage to anyone.

I have sent a pic to two contacts in a "group" chat that did not seem to have a Data limit.

I'm working on getting screenshots, but naturally it hasn't been misbehaving since I posted this. I'm confident it'll happen again though.

I don't think it's a data limit either, it happens with messages anywhere from 100 characters to 1000. And it's strange that it's usually just one word that's chopped off.

This only happens from Messages.app on OS X. I've never had this problem when sending messages from my iPhone or iPad.

Hi,

To be clear.

It does not matter if the messages are over 100 characters (but does not happen below this figure) but happens to any message and then one word is dropped off.

Does it stop if the messages is over a 1000 characters ?

It does seem a little odd.

Finally it happened again.

For the first ever, it happened with my iPad. I was typing messages to my friend with my iPad. My friend has an iPhone 5. Here are the screenshots:

This is my ipad. It might be hard to read since it's been scaled down. It says "You don't deserve that.".

Here's her iPhone. "that." was cut off.

For the heck of it, I looked at this thread in Messages.app on my Mac, "that." came through just fine, here's the screenshot.

The other person for whom my messages get cut off has an iPad 2 wifi only.

Sorry for all the bluring, personal conversation...

Hi,

At present I have nothing more to add to this.

It is not something I have noticed or had reported back to me.

Having said that I don't appear to use it as heavily as your picture suggests.
