Hello...
My IMovie kept erring out when I tried to export a project. So after trying everything I knew I uninstalled it, only to find that I don't know how to reinstall it. I purchased a refurb so I don't have any software discs. I don't know if purchasing the '11 upgrade will help since there is nothing to upgrade. Any suggestions...also any suggestions regarding he error in case it happens again.
The 'error' was in uninstalling it in the first place - that is such a 'windows thing' to do!
But we can't help you until you tell us what Mac you are using, and what versions of OS X and iMovie.
Sorry first Mac so I am really not use to all the UNIQUENESS of the Mac (daddy). I have a MacBook Pro, I am not sure what OS X I had but I upgraded to Lion (after the fact) thinkin that it would help in some way. I am assuming I had iMovie '08 - never really checked, but I think that was it when I was checking.
It depends on which version of iMovie and which OSX. You can always reinstall your old version from your original OSX disks, if you still have them. Let me know if you want to know how.
If you are pretty sure you had an older version of iMovie, I would recommend that you go to the Mac App store and purchase iMovie 11. It should be about $15. iMovie 11 is officially version 9.06.
I have a MacBook Pro, I am not sure what OSX I had but I upgraded to Lion. I think I had iMovie '08, not really sure. I did not want to waste the $ and purchase the upgrade only to be told that there was nothing to update, especially since I had to pay OS X upgrade.
