Several problems. Tiles of photos all show the same picture AND every tie I close Iphoto it duplicates itself so I now have 9000 pictures as instead of 3000 pictures. Whats up?

i can't add 9000 of the same picture. When I am trying to view photos in tiles all 9000 appear as the same picture. When I open each one I see the real picture but this is not efficient. Also every time I close out iphotos duplicates all photos so I now have 9000 photos instea of the actual 3000.
