New Keyboard Problem
I bought a new Apple Keyboard and now when I hit the sound key the Dashboard comes up and the other accessory keys, brightness, etc. do not work. Any suggestions.

I have this problem too. I replaced one broken Apple Extended Keyboard with a new one. For about five days while I was waiting for a new one to arrive, I used a very old Apple Keyboard. When the new one arrived, it didn't work properly. I cannot make the function keys perform the functions printed on them. In particular, I cannot use the F10, F11 or F12 mute and volume control keys. I followed the instructions above at kb/HT3399, but toggling the "Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys" has no impact. The support page at /kb/HT1343 does not help.
