iTunes won't let me copy a particular CD

I've been copying my CD library in to iTunes.  Hundreds loaded so far with no issue.  One particular one (Gloria Estefan-Destiny) will not load.  A finder window opens with all kinds of files on it.

Any idea on how I can load the music of this CD in to my iTunes library?

Thanks very much!

iMac, iOS 4.3.3

    LQGuy,

If you have Gloria's original version that was released in 1996, it is a standard Audio CD and should rip in iTunes without a problem.

If you have the re-released version that was released in 2008, it is an "enhanced" version, and apparently has extras on it that are preventing normal ripping.

    LQ Guy,

According to the listing, the 1996 release is a standard Audio CD, and barring dirt or scratches or defects, should rip normally.

I do suggest that you try to rip the CD on another computer, preferably using a different program than iTunes.  No guarantee of course, but in ripping sometimes one thing succeeds where another fails, even if for no obvious reason.

If it does not work on another machine either, then the fact that Finder sees "all kinds of files on it" makes me wonder if you somehow have the enhanced CD version anyway.

If it does happen to work on another machine, just bring the resulting MP3 files back to your own machine on a flash drive, and add them to your iTunes library.

Oddly enough, the third time I inserted the disc, it finally asked if I wanted to copy the CD and did so properly.  Weird!!

Cool!  Another one to chalk up to "no obvious reason."

Glad it is all sorted.  Enjoy Gloria's music!

    nvm?

The site was a little wonky last night and it looked like my previous answer did not post, so I posted the same thing again.  Next time I looked they were both there, so I replaced the second by nvm (as in never mind).  Sorry for any confusion.  Anyway, I hope you are enjoying iTunes.
