Lock button on the iPhone 4S jammed!

I bought my new iPhone 4S from Verizon in around January. Just yesterday my lock button gets jammed out of nowhere, by that I mean it still kinda works, but with a large amount of pressure and it stopped making that physical clicking noise it used to make. Solutions?

(It's still covered under the 1 year warranty I get from Apple after purchasing a phone.)

As long as there's not physical damage e.g dents, you should be able to get a replacement from your local Apple store.

Until you get resolved with Apple, use virtual lock button. Tap Settings App > General > Accessibility > Assistive Touch > ON > then tap the new white button on screen > tap Device > Lock icon. You can even use it to turn OFF iPhone. To turn if you don't want to use poor functioning real button, just connect iPhone to power ie charger or USB port of computer.
