Mac Mini Software Update "stuck"

I have a Mac Mini i7 2.3 GHz (late 2012) and my software updater seems to be "stuck."

When I open the software updater, it shows me I have 1 update available. The update is for iPhoto, however it shows that the update is already installed.

No matter how many times I check for new updates or restart my computer I can't make the iPhoto update go away, or show me what updates (if any) I have available.

Any ideas?

Ok, I was able to get the issue fixed (I think).

Following the advice from a similar post I came across, I uninstalled iPhoto, restarted my Mac, and then reinstalled iPhoto from the App Store. This seems to have fixed it, as the badge icon over the App Store is gone, and Software Update shows my system is up to date.

Now I'm anxiously awaiting a real software update to come out so that I can make sure it works.
