iMac wont wirelessly recognize Epson 845

I have an iMac on 10.7.5 and an Epson 845 wireless printer. Upon initial install, everything worked well. However, after about 1 month the iMac stopped recognizing the printer wirelessly. It does see the device, but it recognizes it as a fax. With USB plugged in it sees the device as both a printer and fax. I don't get it. I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times, but it doesnt seem to want to work.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I have an Epson Artisan 810 printer. To get it to recognize the Mac wirelessly, I have to setup the wireless network on the printer's onscreen controls and connect to it as a computer to computer network if it makes its own Ad Hoc network. You probably can also make it share your existing wireless, but make sure it at minimum supports 802.11g and WPA2 encryption. Otherwise anyone within 1500 feet can get in on your wireless connection and access your computer or slow down your entire network.
