Execute script when flashdrive is opened

Can I run/execute a script when I put a flasdrive in a MacBook Pro?

Yes you can. Here is a script setup that triggers an AppleScript when a drive is attached. You can modify the script to be specific for a given drive name, or otherwise customize it, and then have it run your task at hand. This one uses AppleScript, but you can also have it trigger a bash script, run a Java executable, or otherwise take advantage of the runtimes on yoru system.
