Bluetooth problems with Mazda CX-5 & Iphone5

My Iphone 5 is paired up with the bluetooth in my 2013 Mazda CX-5, however, not everything is working correctly. I can listen to music through the phone & dial out through the bluetooth. Receiving calls is the big issue.........calls come in & I can see the number of the person calling, but they cannot hear me & I cannot hear them. The service tech at Mazda told me that there needs to be an update with the IPhone 5 before it will work. Does anyone else have this problem? How could this problem be missed? Thanks for any information.

I have similar issue with my CX-5. Called mazda bluetooth and got similar reply. I have updated my iOS to 6.0.1 with similar problem. Apple told me Mazda has to update their software. Apparently I was told many other car makers have problems with the Bluetooth 4.0 as well. Don't know what is the solution.

As of today, the problem is fixed, YEA!! If any of you are having trouble pairing up your Iphone to your car, here's what I did. My IPhone 5 was paired up with my car, a Mazda CX-5. I could dial out fine, hear music fine, but could not receive a call.....specifically, the call would come in but neither of us could hear each other. I called Apple Care (1-800-APLCARE) & here's what we did:

1. Hard reset on the phone: hold both on/off button & the home button down at the same time until the phone resets.

2. Settings, General, Reset, Reset Network Settings

I believe that this 2nd step is what solved the problem. You'll have to reset your WIFI password. Hope this helps everyone.

I am having the exact same issue. If you go into the call and change the audio source to Mazda Bluetooth it transfers across, but this is dangerous and the other person has usually hung up by then!
