Today I seem to be receiving emails of replies to discussions to which I am subscribed some time before the replies appear in the discussions.

I just received a reply in email, clicked "View the full discussion" in the email, but the reply had not been added.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Mac Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2), MacBook Pro, iPhone 4S

I've been getting some very odd results: posts not showing for some hours in the sidebar widgets (though some appeared on one Mac and not on another at the same time and same connection); actual forums missing one or two posts I made though they show up from my profile page. I've done all the usual things including clearing caches, rebooting Safari (the problem is the same in FireFox) and even loading the main page through dial-up (this took three minutes!) to no avail. I can only conclude that something very odd is going on at the server end.

I have your notifications ... but nothing posted for a while. Thank you for the stars: those have been sent 🙂. But not so happy about communications.

We are surely right that it is a server problem and of course we have to live with that. But I'm going to have a mini rant.

Apple should have the technological know how to post a timed apology and review it every two hours or so when situations like this arise. It's not a matter of pride, but one of taking care of their clients, some of whom could be relying on the forum to provide urgently required answers.

With regards,

Well, it's still happening. Just received an email of post by seventy one.

On the bright side, at least posts continue to be emailed.

Don't forget to give Feedback.

Babowa, Roger, drdocument,

Also testing. Part of the thread has now been taken out but I am hoping this that remains will see a message get through to you. The removal suggests the thread could have been removed for inappropriate comment (Wonder if it was my very mini rant).

Following drdocument's suggestion I have written a positive but not unpleasant set of comments to feedback. I think everyone should. Unfortunately it was before I found out part of the post had been withdrawn.

Hooray. It appears that all is now getting through with no withdrawals.
