I can't log in to Facetime on my iPhone 4S or iPad 2

I'm autistic and I am really worried about all this. I am having a problem where I had to sign out and sign back into my Facetime account due to not being able to Facetime one of my friends where it says "Connection Lost". When I tried to sign in, it would not log me back in. I had to change my password, still no luck. I don't what it is that I need to do.
