I tried editing some of my itunes tags today on another PC other than the default one, and iTunes gave me a warning that it can't be done without being in the US store. My question is, all I did was switch computers, not countries, and it still says my account is located in the US store, so I am at a loss, can anyone help me out here?
You're right that that doesn't make any sense because editing metadata has absolutely nothing to do with the iTunes Store. If you can tell us more concerning exactly what your were doing we'll be able help better.
Just re-read your post and the only thing I can come up with is that when you logged into the iTunes Store on this other computer(which, BTW, you shouldn't be doing) iTunes was on a different store. Look in the lower right corner of the main iTunes Store screen to see what flag is being displayed. That should give you a clue.
I am thinking it was a glitch,because in spite of telling me I was not in the US store, it still eventually added the comments I was making. I use comments to help with smart playlist creation, I listen to a lot of classical music and in order to not break up groupings I will put in the comments "symphony" for however many movements it is.
For a time yesterday Apple was having some problems with iTM on the server-side. That actually could have been the cause of the error you were seeing.
Can't edit tags because I'm supposedly not in the US store??
