Updating iphoto with own ID

Hi,

I'm a new mac user. Got a macbook pro, did some updates and was prompted that iphoto needs to be updated by another account.

This account is the issuer(who helps me setup the mac).

How can I re-register the iphoto under my own ID.

Pardon me if this is a basic or noob question. All help and suggestions are welcome.
