How can I prevent a message from appearing as junk?

Hi, in the Mail application on 10.8.2 Mountain Lion, there is a certain thread of messages that appear in the dirty yellow color of junk mail without actually being junk. I have marked and unmarked it as junk. This makes it appear normal unitl I quit and relaunch Mail. It then returns to its previous yellow color but is not marked as junk. Any ideas? Thanks!

I ended up solving the issue myself. I simply created a rule to mark messages from the sender with black text. Then I erased the rule and everything works perfectly now. Hope this helps someone 🙂
