Ipod nano battery gone bad, so unable to turn it on as it keeps restarting! I pod gets hotter when i try to charge it. Its not under warranty. What is the best way i could either replace or repair my I pod at minimal cost?

You can use http://www.ipodjuice.com or other third party repair site and either have them change the battery or order the battery kit and do it yourself.
Apple will replace the battery for $59 plus $6.95 shipping, subject to local tax.
