no 2560x1440 at mid 2011 McAir?

I have a mid 2011 McAir with HD3000 graphic and Samsung S27b970d screen. Not possible to get the 2560x1440 resolution. I try it with HDMI and DVI no way to get more than 1080p. Any ideas?

MacBook Air, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

check the specs for your model

if I read your post right, yours was a Macbook Air mid 2011 13-inch. is that correct?

if it is, the specs are here, and I'm not seeing anything about that particular resolution:
