my hard disk is locked

Had the same problem: an external hard disk had the lock symbol.

The disk was formatted "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)".

BatChmod can unlock such a disk:

- drop the locked disk on the "File..." field,

- check option "Unlock",

- click "Apply".
