Sometimes surprise is good, but sometimes it is not. The fact that QuickTime X capability is a free part of your OS should be a nice surprise.
The OS info in your updated Profile lets us know that you have access to the Mac App Store. If you need more alternatives than those you already know at this point, you can search the MAS for other possibilities.
