imessage won't work with one person

My iMessage was finally restored after 8 hours, and was wroking well. I had one friend that hadn't been restored yet. Her iMessage was restored this morning, and she can message everyone except for me, vice versa. Does anyone know what might be going on? Both of our phones are set to phone numbers, not emails. HELP!
