Keynote, new slide difficulty

In Keynote I am having difficulty because for each slideshow theme it is only offering me two options for slides. For instance, White Corners, it gives me a gray introduction slide and then when I "add new slide" it only puts white ones. How do I fix that?

I am trying to insert pictures for a project and I wanted the whole look of that theme (the white corners on each picture, etc).

Everything used to work fine but my hard drive crashed and the tech desk at Mac reinstalled Keynote for me, now I am having this difficulty.
