Have just bought the Tom Tom app for my I pad 3 but it keeps telling me no GPS or poor gps can anyone help please carl

What model of iPad do your have ? Only the 3G/4G models have a built-in GPS chip, the wifi-only iPads rely on getting their position from the router that they are connected to being in Apple's database - though there are apparently some external GPS units that might work with it e.g. Bad Elf GPS.
