I was recently given a mac mini a1103, and was wondering if I am able to somehow connect it to one of the hdmi inputs on my receiver. When I received the mini I was told it may not work with a hdmi input, because the mini is not hdcp compliant. Is this true, and is the only way to connect the a1103 to a HDTV is through a DVI to VGA cable?

You will also need a DVI cord, those are pretty cheap
Wrong information, you've recommended a HDMI to DVI adapter. It's used for MacMinis that have HDMI output ports. The OP's MacMini does not have a HDMI port.
