Transfer iTunes Music Library and Playlists between computers

My main computer was a G3 (upgraded to Sonnet G4 processor) B/W PPC desktop with OS X 10.4.11. Recently, I was given a MacBook 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Laptop, with OS X 10.6.8. I would like to transfer my iTunes Library and and Playlists grom the G3 B/W to the MacBook. Can it be done and what is the best way to accomplish this task?
