I lost my mail stamp icon and mail now has pencil and ruler and will not open?
MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2009)
If this is the Dock icon, then drag it off the Dock, open up /Applications and drag it back onto the Dock.
The issue is corect the stamp in the dock is now the generic Apps symbol. However this fix did not work. It seems as if the update lost the stamp and the computers ability to communicate with the mail server.
What version of OS? Have you recently applied the security update?
I have OS 10.6.8. It is telling me I have no updates t do when I run them.
