iTunes Error 11111

Hi there,


actually I'm not able to update any app.

I'm stuck on the error 11111.

On my iPhone 4S with iOS5, I'm also not able to update apps.


What shall I do?

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1

I recently had to re-image my Windows 10 box and re-install all of my apps. I installed iTunes and then tried to update the software but received this error. Looking at another users response I decided to connect my iPhone and try that way. I received a code on my phone to which I was asked to enter my password followed by this code. I did that and now I can login to my account and function normally. Hope this helps!

I see here that in 2012 people were told to wait a few days for error 11111 to resolve. it is now 2017 and error 11111 is still out there. I cannot get into my apple account on my computer iTunes as the box to enter the verification code does not come up. therefore I can't even begin to try to fix the issue with my iPad. I am not a very saavy computer user but I can follow directions. However roadblocks like this are so frustrating they make me want to throw up my hands and chunk everything!

I had this very same issue today. I noticed it when i tried to update an app from my iphone. Would click update than the app would quickly disapper and would still show up in the "Update". So I went to my pc and tried to update it on itunes got the error 11111. So i wanted to see if it was an issue with just my iphone and used my sons & husband iphone to update some of there apps. On both iphones my account was showing up for some of there apps. Im asuming cause we all use the same pc to sync.


***My FIX***

-If you share the same pc/mac and others sync there idevices on itunes most likely they have apps w/your account.

-First thing on my husbands and sons iphone the itunes aggrement poped up so I clicked agree.

-I went to App Store on there iphones and went thruough all there updates. Check if your account shows up in any of them. You dont have to update there apps just click cancel.

-If you see your account show up on any apps delete that app.

-Then i did a reboot on my iphone.

-I went back to App Store on my iphone and was able to update apps!!!

Having the same issues from all ios devices (phones & ipads) and my macbook itunes will not download the 2 current APP updates. I have tried to delete the app (pandora) that was asking for the new 4.2 update and then reinstall...no go...found out that it isnt just a problem with app updates...but I can not even download any of the apps from the cloud that had previously been on my device. The error code 11111 showed up in iTunes on my Macbook....so far I can not figure out how to resolve...I have rebooted ios & Macbook and that doesnt work...deleting and app and trying to reinstall doesnt work...all my devices and iTunes of the laptop are up to date... hmmmm 😕

I'm having the exact same problem. I contacted apple and they said supposedly that it has to do with Hurricane Sandy and that certain servers are down, affecting Itunes and iCloud. They didn't sound too sure of themselves, however. So they tried a couple troubleshooting steps and nothing worked, and their final solution was "wait a couple days and see if it works." That was literally their solution.
