iPad will print emails but not photos to my HP 8500

I have no problems printing emails to my HP 8500 but I canot print photos, has anyone encountered anything like this?

What happens when you try printing a Photo, any specific error or behavior?

As a workaround you may also try using the HP ePrint app and check if that may solve the problem for you:

The printer spits out a blank page when I try photos. Prints emails just fine.

I have not tried the HP App, I'll try it but would still like to figure out why it won't just print.
