I was trying to plug-in my Macbook Pro 13'' my speakers, and because it was dark i accidentally placed the end of the speaker onto another plug, and the laptop immediately shut down. It now works properly. Is that normal ? Why did this happen ? Thank you

I am simply worried that maybe now something might be wrong ? Or do you believe it is a safety "move" that is made automatically from the laptop.

The machine probably freaked out because some connectors touched that was not normal, and went into a self preservation mode. As long as it works fine, I would not be concerned.
