What maps do I use in my app?

Hey there,

What are people using in their apps for maps?

I have an app that in the end you end up at a certain location and from there I have a button to take you to a new View Controller that I want to display the pins(baloons) of my current gps position, and the location from the previous screen, along with text with how to get from one pin to the other.

Is this possible? How can I go about it? I don't need the code, just a start as I heard Google is out and Apple took on maps, I am confused what to do for my app now.
