how to transfer notes from 3GS to iPhone 4?

I need help transfering my iphone 3GS notes to my iPhone4.. I cannot back up my iphone 4 to my 3gs because i have nothing in there except the old notes.. and I will lose all my photos and data from my iphone 4 if i do.
