If you set up "find my iphone" you can try to locate it at icloud.com. However, it is very easy for the thief to disable the feature, so I wouldn't get my hopes up.

If you enabled Find My iPad on it before it was stolen you may be able to locate it on icloud.com using your computer. However, it will have to be on, have a connection to the internet and the settings on the iPad will have to be intact. (Unfortunately, thieves know how to change these to prevent it from being tracked.)
