I'm trying to install os X lion with my recovery HD but it always fails. I tried erasing the volume I'm installing but still get the same error when its about to finish the installation. I also tried resetting the PRAM, but still the same. Any help will be really appreciated since I erased the only OS my machine had and now I can't do anithing. If you need more info about the situation just ask.

This may be a bit beyond my expertise, but the first thing that came to my mind is:
So you say your hard drive does not currently have any OS installed - is that correct?
Do you have any bootable backup (clone) or any other external stick, drive, or whatever with a bootable OS on it? If you do not, I don't know that you can recover without being able to boot at all and my only suggestion would be that you make an appointment at your nearest Genius Bar. Hopefully someone will be able to come up with a different idea.
I have the snow leopard installation disc that came with my macbook and a bootable dvd of os x lion. I can boot my machine with both of the installation dvds, but when im installing any of them the installation fails when its almost finishing. My machine still has the recovery hd partition that lion created on it, but it also fails to install. I wanted to visit the genius bar, but i live in P.R. and there are no Genius Bar out here. I just want to know If theres anything i can do before calling apple for support.
Have you tried to boot from the Snow Leopard install disk and then used Disk Utility from that disk (available right after the language selection) to erase the drive? Then let it install Snow Leopard. If that is successful, you should be able to go to the app store and download Lion to get a fresh install and a newly created recovery partition.
Thank you, i did what you said and it worked. I had to erease the whole disk. The problem was that i was erasing the partition i wanted to install. Once again, thank you very much.
