I turn on the computer, and the Apple shows with the circle below it turning, but it keeps turning and won't load the start up/icons. Just stays on the apple, with the circle turning. Doesn't advance to screen to add password. Any way to fix this?

Yes, but first I need to know what version of OS X you aree running. Second, are you running an XServe or did you post in the wrong forum - your profile says MacBook Pro, but you posted in the Servers Software forum?
I turn the computer on, the apple shows and the circle turns round but doesn't stop and load the icons on the computer below the apple but it won't kick in and show the start up page. Any ideas how to fix this?
