Iphoto freezing

I am using iPhoto and everytime I try to make a photo book it freezes instantaneously. I go to the front page and try to put in the title and it just freezes. All updated and I even uninstalled iphoto twice and reinstalled. Any solutions out there?

I currently have no photos in the library and I have restarted iphoto using option+command and rebooted everything.

I am running mountain lion OSX 10.8.2
