Is it possible to connect my wired HP printer to the MacBook 13 retina display?

I prefer using wired instead of wireless systems. I have a wired HP printer. I am about to purchase a Macbook Pro 13 Retina Display. I'm wondering if I will still be able to use my wired printer with the new MacPro Retina Display?

If it's a USB printer, then I would assume that it would work. Go here - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3669#HP - and see if your printer is listed on the 'official' Apple HP site.

It will also help to know your printer model to ensure it is compatible with Mountain Lion.
