Updating sort order on iDevice?

When adding a new album to iTunes if I don't edit the metadata to how I want it before it gets matched then the only way I can seem to get it to shwo how I want is to remove the album from match then re-add it.

Is this correct?? Should match not pick up these changes next time it runs and edit things accordingly?

Example, I added the new Kylie Minogue album last night, I didn't change the artist and album artist to Minogue, Kylie so when I view artists on my iPhone she's showing up under the K's and not the M's.

I have since added the sorting in iTunes but even after updating match these changes are not being reflected on my iPhone.

In the past the only way I've been able to get the changes to show is to remove the album from match then re-add it.

Seems a bit strange and not how I'd expect it to work.
