Ipod Touch is froze & won't restore with Itunes

My ipod touch was froze on the connect to itunes screen. I tried connecting to my laptop as well as my husbands desktop to restore the ipod and neither will work. On both computers it gets to the part about verifying the ipod (not the software) with apple and it shuts down and gives me an error code. On my laptop I get error code 9 and on the desktop I get error code 3194. I've looked over the information regarding both error codes, I've tried a few things including turning my firewall off and I still can't get the ipod to restore! Any suggestions for me?

Error 9

This error occurs when the device unexpectedly loses its USB connection with iTunes. This can occur if the device is manually disconnected during the restore process. This issue can be resolved by performing USB troubleshooting, using a different USB dock-connector cable, trying another USB port, restoring on another computer, or by eliminating conflicts from third-party security software.
