Q: Imac Memory
I am thinking about adding more memory to my early 2008 2.8 Ghz Core 2 Duo 8.1 24" Imac. It came with 2.0GB of memory and I waould like to add 4Gb more to make a total of six.
I have been on the OWC website where a 6.0GB upgrade Kit is offered for about $117. The process of adding it to my Imac seems pretty straightforward, and I was wondering if anyone here has done the upgrade.
I know Apple says 4GB is the max but I am reading all over the place of people who have gone up to 6GB, so it seems possible.

Doesn't matter which slot you put the 2GB or 4GB module in, as stated above the instructions for the Mid 2007 thru Early 2009 with two side by side slots are the same.
