Can't download previously purchased songs

I am unable to download any of my previously purchased albums from the "not on this phone" list on my iPhone. This have been a problem for me for nearly two weeks. I am able to download new albums but none of my old albums (I deleted them to make space and redownloading them has never been a problem) there are no error messages they just will not download. if anyone has had this happen to them and/or knows a solution I would greatly appretiate it!!
