I'm trying to update my ipad to icloud. When I go to settings i dont have the option of software update. So how do I update my ipad to Icloud?

Connect the device to the Mac or PC and iTunes will ask you to update to the most recent version

That is only a feature of iOS 5 or later...

If you have iOS 4... See Here...

OR...

Connect to iTunes on the computer you usually Sync with and “ Check for Updates “...
