    Run software update or log into the App store under the Apple ID that the computer was set up with

    What system and iPhoto versions are do you currently have?  For iPhoto use the iPhoto ➙ About iPhoto menu option. For the system use the  ➙ About This Mac menu option.

     

    You can go to the System/Software Update preference pane and check to see if any updates are availabe for any of you applications or the system:

    If there are you'll be taken to the App Store where you'll need to sign it with your App Store ID and password if you're running Lion or Mt. Lion.
